GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT HARROGATE

Harrogate is a famous spa town, famous for its many sulphurous springs at which, earlier this century, people came to "Take the Waters" - supposedly a cure for all sorts of illnesses! The modern Harrogate is a combination of a conference Town and a tourist centre from which it is very easy to explore both the Yorkshire Dales and Moors.
